hi all,
it would be nice that after you logged on and you missed a few quicknotes, if you could have a list with the users that sent you the QuickNotes and reply. You can reply to all of them, or just 1 if you want.

i know that if you don't log out properly, and then someone sends a message to you, then you next log in you get the list of messages. not sure it would really be any good in any other sens because chances are you won't get any messages from just logging out properly.

yes you would, if you log off the sight using the QuickNote command it shows you Quicknotes you missed.
not sure I really understood what you were saying, sorry if I'm repeating it in a different way.

Not a bad idea. But if you're having an in depth conversation, I would hope that you'd notify people you're logging out, unless it was a mistake, in which case you probably wouldn't see the quicknotes you missed anyway, until you log back in that is. And the site already has this feature.

that's what i mean. when that screen appears that only has the quicknotes you missed is when the list of the senders should appear so you can reply in case they might be offline and you can't find their name on the list of online users. .

Ah, I see. In that case, I have to disagree here. Because that would require being able to send QN's to offline users. By the time they get the message, you might be offline, and so the cycle continues, and basically what you're doing is sending PM's. That could get really confusing really quickly. Now, a possible idea would be to show the missed QN's the next time you log on. and, if the user in question is offline, there could be a link below the QN to say something like, "send private message instead". that's really the only way I could possibly see this as being useful.

hmm offline qns might be nice though. but then again you don't want to see every user on the site. so perhapse not.

if you want to message users who are offline you can use the pm facility to do that.

but to be able to message them on the missed quicknote screen for the online users. If there's a lot you don't always remember them.

For example,

imagine

you are popular and got a lot of messages that day and you get a quicknote from

tom, john, joe, sally, mary, peter, loagan, tony, gary, and, jole.

now try to remember all the names, I might remember tom and sally, and maybe I think rick sent me a message but he didn't and forget the rest, but then later remember mary message me too, but with a big list, I mean sometimes even with just four by the time you type a message to tom and mary, you might forget that sally and john messaged to if there were only for or maybe you were good and you actually remember that mary, sally and john messaged you but forget, that tom messaged too. I've done that a few times many more then I would like also a good idea to have a cash of people you didn't reply to yet that you have gotten messages from.
